Place some stemless flowers and any herbs you are using in your cocktail shaker or glass. Add a splash of water and, if you’d like, sugar. With your muddler (wooden spoons work too), press down on the mixture and give it a few gentle twists until you can really smell the floral notes. Then mix the rest of your drink like usual.
Another way to amp up the flower power is to put the blossoms in a simple syrup. Mix equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan and heat it until the sugar dissolves completely. Turn off the heat, add your flowers, and let the mixture cool for at least an hour. Strain the liquid and use it like you would any simple syrup.
