A 9-year-old girl named Lexi was faced with a tough decision to either come clean to her parents, or to preserve their innocence for a bit longer.
Lexi says she figured out some time ago that the tooth fairy was not real. It wasn’t particularly difficult for the clever 9-year-old. As she so eloquently put it, “I’m sorry if this is hard for you, but I’m 9 now.” Her parents didn’t know that she knew, however, which is what created the dilemma.
Ultimately, Lexi decided that honesty was the best policy and she wrote a note for the tooth fairy. The letter was eventually found by the 'tooth fairy', who enjoyed it so much that she decided to post it on Reddit. The letter quickly went viral.

Dear "Tooth Fairy,"
I don't believe in the tooth fairy any more. I know it's you who gets the money and puts it under my pillow, mom and dad. I'm sorry if this is hard for you, but I'm 9 now. (P.S.) I don't believe in Santa Claus either.
Love, Lexi
P.S. Daddy, I knew it was you last Easter, hiding my Easter eggs!
