Ever since we first saw "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" as children, we have been obsessed with the idea of visiting a magical place totally dedicated to sweets in any form.
Now, for New Yorkers, an opportunity has arisen that will help some childhood fantasies at least somewhat come true, because Eater reports that the absolutely legendary chocolatier Jacques Torres (who is commonly referred to as Mr. Chocolate) has decided to do the incredible.
He's opening up a museum that is totally dedicated to chocolate, ya'll!
Can you hear us drooling?
Choco-Story New York, The Chocolate Museum and Experience with Jacques Torres is all slated to open in New York City in the beginning of March 2017, and while official details about what the museum will feature, and what the experience visiting will be like, have not yet been revealed, we have a feeling it is sure to be a sugary and satisfying destination spot for anybody with a sweet-tooth.
We're imagining that luscious chocolate tastings, chocolate-making sessions, and history lessons of different chocolate types will probably be features at the museum.
Of course, you'll remember that we told you about how the Museum of Ice Cream was opening up in New York City back in July 2016, and that venture ended up being a huge success. The museum sold out of tickets super quick, with fans taking to social media to post their experience at the museum.
There were ice cream tastings, pools filled with sprinkles, interactive swings that were shaped like ice cream sandwiches, and all sorts of themed rooms for people to have fun in -- not to mention, free ice cream samples for attendees.
We wonder how Torres plans on topping that one-of-a-kind museum experience, and we sure cannot wait to find out!
