Ingredients

Baskin-Robbins, the world's largest ice cream shop chain, is testing a fun new idea in San Diego.

According to Brand Eating, the ice cream giant wants to make sure we get toppings in every bite by providing the toppings we order in a cup alongside our ice cream cones. We can then just dip the ice cream into the cup and get as much, or as little, as we want in each bite.

Possible topping choices include M&M minis, crushed Oreo cookies, chocolate sprinkles, rainbow sprinkles, chopped almonds and Nerds. The cup of toppings is an additional $1.49, but if you’re a stickler for making sure you have toppings in every bite, the dollar and a half is so worth it.

They’re called Cone Dippers, and they’re currently available only in San Diego, California. But if all testing goes well, I’m guessing we will get the opportunity to see them in other cities in the future. There hasn’t been any talk yet of expanding this offer to other cities, but that’s probably just because it’s too soon to tell how customers will respond.

Meanwhile, if you happen to be in the San Diego area, make sure to stop by Baskin-Robbins for a chance to make up your own mind about this Cone Dipper offer. Those of us who can’t try it will just have to buy our own bag of toppings and pretend.
