Enjoy a meal in the Batcave
Imagine a bar or a restaurant themed around your favorite superhero. Umm, how about batman. Great, isn’t it? So how great would be a whole experience having three bars and five restaurants themed around? An immersive restaurant experience that is inspired by your favorite Gotham City heroes and villains is about to open in London this year. So quit imagining get ready to start experiencing.
Remember where in Gotham Bruce Wayne’s parents were killed? Why is it relevant? Well, they were murdered in Park Row and, according to Big Hospitality, that’s the name of the 18000 square foot and 330 seat basement venue located in Soho,
What does space include? You can find areas such as:
- The Penguin’s Iceberg Lounge, serving international food and live entertainment;
- A Harley Quinn-inspired omakase restaurant;
- A “villainous speakeasy” called Old Gotham City.
- And Alfred’s going to be there too. You can get British cuisine at Pennyworth’s, inspired by Wayne’s butler.
The Monarch Theatre, again that’s the theater outside which Bruce Wayne’s parents were killed, but more importantly, that’s the place where you can fulfill your dining needs.
To give you an idea of the food, it will serve: a “multi-sensory tasting menu” and “use projection mapping technology said to explore the psychology of heroism through food.” A profound experience but admittedly agrees with Wayne’s universe.
It would cost you around $60 based on which restaurant you eat at, but if you go to the Monarch Theatre, you’ll have to shell out about $150.
Wonderland Restaurants, a newly formed group of restaurant industry specialists, is behind the concept. While the official opening date has not been revealed yet but Park Row’s Instagram account has been using the “#NewOpening #Spring” on their posts of the Iceberg Lounge photo. Fingers crossed.
