Hmm. There's a connection to be made here, but we're not so sure it's a good one.
Recently, we told you all about the new Japanese smartphone app that rewards its users’ safe driving habits with coupons for free cups of coffee.
Now, there’s a new gadget on the market that also seeks to cure all our our pre caffeinated early-morning drowsiness, by allowing us to brew a cup of coffee -- right in our car.
The jury’s out on how practical and/or safe this one is, folks, but here are the details anyway: If you’re tired of having to wake up a few minutes early evening morning to either a) spend a few bucks at your local coffeehouse or b) brew a cup of coffee on your kitchen countertop, then this gadget, brought to you by The LAD Bible (via Delish), ought to be right up your alley.
The Handpresso plugs directly into your car’s auxiliary power outlet, and you just place your coffee on top of it, add in water, wait for it to heat, pour it out, and then enjoy your cup of car-brewed coffee once it’s all ready for you.
Hopefully, this thing comes with explicit expressions to either complete the entire pouring process before ever putting your car into ignition, or to wait until you’ve reached your final destination to divert your attention from the road.
If you’re interested in purchasing the gadget, you can buy yourself a Handpresso here.
