Cheesy Tots

Ingredients

Remember Burger King's cheesy tots? The crispy fried potato snacks with ooey gooey cheese in the center?

If you so happened to get hooked on them while they made their limited edition run way back when, you'll be overjoyed to know that THEY ARE BACK!

Yes, that's right. THE CHEESY TOTS ARE BACK.

Unfortunately, they are again around for a limited time, so get them while you can. An eight-piece order will cost you around $1.99 in most locations, according to Business Wire.

"We know our guests love CHEESY TOTS, and we heard they want them for breakfast too," said Alex Macedo, president, North America, for the Burger King brand. "These cheesy potato bites are the perfect addition to any meal, whether that be the WHOPPER sandwich, new Crispy Chicken Sandwich, CROISSAN'WICH meal or to just snack on its own."

The warm, crunchy potato medallions were first introduced in 2013 but went away for a while until they made a comeback in November 2016. No word on how long they'll be sticking around this time.

"Inside is the typical potato flavor of a tater tot and tastes as much as you'd expect," a Brand Eating reviewer wrote of the snack in 2013. "The addition of melted American cheese adds a creaminess and a taste that reminds me of mac and cheese. The ones I got were piping hot; the cheese holds heat very well so I had to be careful eating them."

The reviewer went on to say that the tots were "nice but not terribly exciting" and would be more fun with "something more like nacho cheese with bits of jalapenos thrown in instead of American cheese," though many others enjoy the simple cheesy flavor. You might want to dip them in something like hot sauce if you like your food with more of a kick though.
