Chick-fil-A's New Sandwich Has A Surprising (But Delicious) Ingredient

Ingredients

Pimento cheese dip feels like something that just shouldn’t work. It’s a cheese dip, but it isn’t melty or gooey or warm. It’s just hunks of cheddar and pimento peppers. But it is so delicious, on everything from crackers to vegetables to just by the spoonful. And apparently now, also on chicken sandwiches.

Chick-fil-A, the home of arguably the best fast food chicken sandwiches in the country, have taken this confounding but wonderful cheese dip and decided to put it on a sandwich, to delicious effects. The sweet and spicy Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich is now available at select Chick-fil-A locations.

The sweetness in the sandwich comes from honey drizzled on their classic chicken, and the spicy comes from pickled jalapeno peppers added to the sandwich. Plus, of course, a generous helping of pimento cheese.

Unfortunately for the rest of us, Chick-fil-A is currently testing the sandwich only in certain restaurants in North and South Carolina. Hopefully, if the sandwich becomes as big of a hit as it’s expected to be, the sandwich will hit Chick-fil-A stores nationwide in the next few months.

In the meantime, if you just can’t wait to try this combination, try whipping up some pimento cheese of your own and slapping it on a Chick-fil-A sandwich. It probably won’t be as good, but for those of us outside of the Carolinas, it’ll have to suffice for now. Fans are already raving about this delicious new creation!
