Denny's Is Giving Away Free Pies, Here's How To Get One

Thanksgiving came and went, but so with our appetites. We stuffed ourselves, invariably testing the hold of a single button, grabbed for a third plate anyway, and now, as turkey and stuffing leftovers slowly disappear from the fridge, we wonder where the next feast will come.

If you are the 96% of Americans who celebrate Christmas, your next feast will come Monday, December 25th. But that's 28 days from now, or put more urgently, four weeks without coma-inducing turkey meat sandwiches and most of all, pie -- the blissful end to a wholesome feast, holiday or not.

But lucky for us, Denny's has come to us as our saving grace to our first-world hunger problem. And this charitable contribution comes in the form of a free, delicious, full-sized pie. Starting this Cyber Monday, November 27, Denny's customers will receive a free pie with every mobile or online order of $20 or more, your choice of flavor for in-store pickup or delivery.

The man behind the free pies, Denny's chief marketing officer, John Dillon, said in a statement, "We know how hectic this time of year can be, so we're offering guests a taste of convenience that will allow them to spend more time with each other."

He's calling it a "taste of convenience," but we're calling it our restored faith in humanity.  But then again, we'll say that about anything involving free food.

The transaction is simple and straightforward. Use promo code "FREEPIE" on your next Denny's on Demand mobile or online order and choose between a pumpkin or pecan pie. And If you live close to a participating Denny's, you can get the whole fare delivered to your doorstep, so you can spend less time worrying about preparing a meal, and more time engaging in other super important activities, like binging Netflix or shopping online for Christmas gifts (for yourself).

This exclusive free pie offer will last until December 25, Christmas Day, which is the perfect, hassle-free holiday transition from one celebratory feast to the next. As for our ever-pinching waist bands… not so much.
