Homemade Avocado Baby Food Recipe

DIY Baby Food Creations

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • Optional: Breastmilk, formula, or water
Preparation
  1. Use a sharp knife to cut the avocado in half.
  2. Score pit with the knife. Twist the knife to pull out the pit.
  3. Scoop avocado meat out of its skin with a spoon and put it in a dish.
  4. Use a fork to mash the avocado into a chunky pure or use a blender or food processor to reach your desired consistency.
  5. Achieve a thinner consistency by adding breastmilk, formula or water as needed.
How to Keep Avocado Baby Food Fresh Store your batch of avocado baby food in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 72 hours. Because this recipe makes around five servings, you may want to freeze the baby food into portions using an ice cube tray. Avocados tends to brown in the fridge and freezer, but it doesn’t affect the nutritional value or flavors. Once you’ve portioned out the meal, use practical baby feeding tips to ensure an enjoyable experience for all. Inspired by Very Well Fit.
