We all have a few staple meals and snacks from our childhoods.
Of course, different feelings and memories are attached to different foods according to our personal experiences and preferences. However, there are a few food combinations and specific food brands out there that tend to illicit strong responses from people.
Many have divisive ideas about peanut butter and jelly, for instance -- we personally prefer those sandwiches with strawberry jam, and have gotten into plenty of heated arguments over it with grape-jelly devotees. Others have great memories driving through the fast food lane with their parents, while their friends recoil in horror at the idea of chowing down on convenience food.
And as it happens, apparently loads of people have an opinion about this very particular brand of soft and frosted sugar cookies:
We remember the Lofthouse Sugar Cookies very well, because they just so happened to be one of our very favorite treats growing up. In fact, the first time we visited home from college, we specifically asked our mother to purchase the pink ones so that they'd be waiting for us when we got home.
However, not everybody agrees.
On Feb. 12, 21-year-old Taylor Haugen posted this controversial tweet:

And boy did the internet go wild.
"I don't think I've ever felt more personally attacked in my entire life," one Twitter user said in response.
"I'm so offended I'm about to start swinging," said another.
But Haugen remains unmoved.
"I will never change my opinion on them," she told BuzzFeed. "Though I don’t think I’ll voice my opinions on other baked goods anymore."
Probably a good call, Haugen, if you don't want to get attacked by the collective fury of Twitter any more.
