Have you ever encountered a viral food trend that seemed to just speak to you (videos below)?
Obviously, the ever-changing food landscape online means that there will always be hits or misses when it comes to food trends filling up your newsfeed. Some people loved the whole "rainbow" phase that seemed to hit its peak in the spring and summer of 2016; others reviled it.
At the moment, food hybrids seem to be coming and going like the tide; the Burger King chicken fries seem to be doing well, while Taco Bell's Naked Chalupa only had a limited time run on the fast food chain's menu.
And while the Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino was purposefully only offered for a scant few days, the mythical-sounding (and Lisa Frank-looking) blended frozen drink really seems to have struck a chord with both sugar fiends and the general public alike.
Unfortunately, the drink is no longer available in stores, so if you only just caught wind of the magical creation, you might be upset for having missed the small window of opportunity to purchase one of the frappes in store.
Worry not, though, friends, because different social media users have taken to their preferred platforms by storm, uploading a multitude of videos and tutorials on how to make your very own DIY Unicorn Frappuccino in the comfort of your own home.
What's more, you can customize your frappe to fit any and all dietary preferences; after all, nobody was really exulting over the mind-blowing taste of the Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino, right? It was really more about the stunning visual presentation.
Check out Meesh LA's DIY interpretation of the frappe, which she deems to be even better than the original:
But if you're hoping to really hit the nail on the head and mimic the OG flavor, Emmy Made In Japan has your back with her DIY video:
What do you think? Will you try to recreate the drink at home -- if not for the taste, at least for the visual and psychedelic eye-candy on your Instagram?
