In case you haven't quite shaken the post-Halloween sweet tooth, prepare for a treat that will really satisfy that craving for something rich, chocolaty, nutty and all around decadent.
Chocolate and peanut butter is arguably America's favorite flavor combination. Combine that with America's most beloved snack cake and you get Hostess' Butterfinger Brownie.
Hostess' latest innovation in chocolate and peanut butter treats is a mouth-watering brownie, dunked in fudge and coated with Butterfinger candy bar pieces.
Hostess Brands and Nestle teamed up to offer a candy-inspired treat celebrating the eternally popular chocolate-peanut butter flavor combination. Our guess is the Hostess Brownie is just like the candy, a little gooey, crunchy and absolutely delicious.
Hostess is not one to shy away from consumer flavor trends. The Butterfinger Brownie comes just after Hostess' two releases, Chocolate Peanut Butter Twinkies and Peanut Butter Ho Hos, which Burke Raine, chief marketing officer for Hostess Brands, is calling a "chocolate-peanut butter innovation streak." Could this mean a potential Reese's and Hostess brand collaboration in the future? We sure hope so.
This isn't the first time Hostess has teamed up with candy "powerhouses." The company partnered with Mars Chocolate back in July 2016 to add two new brownies, Hostess Milky Way Brownies and M&M's Brownies, both available in stores now.
The Milky Way Brownies, made with plain chocolate brownies, are topped with caramel icing and a layer of Milky Way candy bar pieces. The M&M's Brownies are made similarly, but are embedded with M&M's pieces on the inside of the brownie and on top!
It's a great time to be a peanut butter and chocolate lover -- but we're still waiting patiently for a Reese's Peanut Butter Cups collaboration with Hostess. But something tells us that we might not have to wait for very long. We're essentially already there! Hostess' entire brownie line is just a giant peanut butter and chocolate mashup, although not exactly the peanut butter cup we so desire, it has the Reese's Pieces attitude.
The candy-topped brownies are available in multipacks, reportedly retailed for $3 per box, and can be found on shelves nationwide!
