Welcome to fall! It's official, and Kellogg's seems happy to acknowledge it, since they're breaking out their new fall flavors.
If you didn’t know, Caramel Apple is our new fall-inspired Pop-Tart flavor. It’s about time we had caramel apples for breakfast, and I bet they’re too good, with apple- and caramel-flavored filling and frosted just like we like them. But Kellogg’s didn’t stop there. They’re also breaking out a few more fall 2016 products.
Brand Eating reports that now we’ll have Pumpkin Spice Nutri-Grain Bars, featuring pumpkin and whole grains and flavored with nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and ginger. While these aren’t the first grab’n’go bars that are pumpkin spice-flavored, they stand apart with the use of real pumpkin. Also they’re only 140 calories a bar. Sweet. We’ll also have Special K Pumpkin Spice cereal featuring all of those fall spices mentioned above.
We’ve also got Halloween Chocolate Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, with chocolate frosted cereal and skeleton-shaped marshmallows; Pumpkin Spice flavored Mini-Wheats; Special K Apple Cinnamon Crunch featuring apple crumble clusters and cinnamon; Pumpkin Pie Pop-Tarts; and finally, Keebler Pumpkin Spice Fudge Stripes Cookies. Yum!
According to Delish, Kellogg’s released the Apple Cinnamon Crunch Special K cereal last year, and fans of that treat will definitely be happy to see it again this year. But it looks like General Mills is expected to enter the fall pumpkin frenzy as well, with their new Pumpkin Spice Cheerios. So, in case you were missing pumpkin spice flavors in your breakfast, you should be covered now.
All new flavors are expected to hit the shelves by the end of September, and some stores might already have some of the varieties in stock. So keep an eye out when you’re at the supermarket. As these products are all seasonal treats, you might want to stock up for the winter. You never know when the pumpkin craving will hit.
