Brand Eating reports that Krispy Kreme plans to change its original glazed doughnut into a pumpkin spice version for one day only on Oct. 26. This will be in celebration of National Pumpkin Spice day, and the new Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed donut will be available at participating locations in the United States and Canada.

If you can’t make it to a Krispy Kreme location on that particular day, you can always try their seasonal pumpkin spice cake donut instead. Brand Eating did a taste test of this doughnut flavor, which they described it as soft, moist, sweet and yummy. Although they claimed that it was lacking in the taste of pumpkin, it did have plenty of spice.

If you’ve really got a serious case of the pumpkin spice fever this year, you can always try to make it to Krispy Kreme in time to try both the Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed doughnut and the pumpkin spice cake doughnut and compare them.

Maybe the pumpkin spice cake doughnut is supposed to be less pumpkin-y and more cake-ish? And maybe the new Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed doughnut will have more of that pumpkin kick you might be expecting. Either way, I’m sure they’re both delicious. Who can go wrong with a doughnut? Certainly not Krispy Kreme.

Want even more pumpkin spice? Wash down your pumpkin-flavored doughnuts with Krispy Kreme’s seasonal pumpkin spice latte while you’re at it. According to the doughnut gurus themselves, it’s available this year hot, iced or frozen.

“Our fans crave these seasonally inspired treats, and the pairing of a Pumpkin Spice Latte and one of our doughnuts makes for the perfect comfort food as the weather starts to cool down,” says Jackie Woodward, Chief Marketing Officer at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

See? Even they recommend it as a perfect pairing.

If, by some chance, your tastes don’t fall so much into the pumpkin realm, Krispy Kreme also offers a seasonal salted caramel latte donut, which also delivers a taste of fall. Check it all out at your nearest location before the season’s over!
