Krispy Kreme, you are forgiven for all those times you upset us by not making something delicious available in the States. This is a perfect apology.
First of all, just look at that beautiful donut. And the best part? It's available now! That means we can partake during the holiday season -- when we're supposed to indulge -- then resolve to work it off on New Year's, right? According to Delish, it's called the Krispy Kreme Nutty Cocoa Ring, and it is a Krispy Kreme donut dipped in our favorite hazelnut spread, Nutella, and then sprinkled with hazelnut bits and drizzled with chocolate icing. Are you drooling yet?
Business Wire reports that this is the first time a Krispy Kreme product has featured Nutella in the United States. “Both Nutella and Krispy Kreme products are adored around the world, and we are thrilled to bring a product featuring the classic taste of Krispy Kreme and the nutty flavor of Nutella to our shops domestically,” says Jackie Woodward, chief marketing officer of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. “Krispy Kreme has a wide variety of doughnuts, but this indulgent combination will allow for a flavor experience unlike any other.”
Woodward couldn't be more right. I don't know how I never thought of combining Nutella with donuts before, now that she mentions it. It's obviously the best combination possible. Other new and seasonal Krispy Kreme donut flavors are available as well, if you want to order more than one. For the holidays, you can try the Wreath, Holiday Treat, Snowflake and Snowman donuts -- all of which are regular glazed donuts with white icing and decorations. (Beware that the Nutella Nutty Cocoa Ring is also a limited-time flavor!)
As for special-order flavors, they've got Kit Kat donuts (with Kit Kat bars literally sticking out of them!), Oreo Cheesecake, and Strawberries and Kreme, to name a few. I know they all sound good, but that Strawberries and Kreme donut combines strawberries and chocolate in all the right ways.
If you're focused on the Nutella donut only, I don't blame you. Visit this link, http://www.krispykreme.com/Nutella, to find out if your location has it.
