Do you worship the red rooster? Are you one of those people who can't fully enjoy a meal without dumping a truckload of Sriracha hot sauce on top?
If you're one to douse Sriracha on EVERYTHING, even your McDonald's order, you'll want to pay attention here.
Rooster sauce addicts, rejoice! The Sriracha Big Mac exists, and hopefully it will come your way soon! The world's largest hamburger chain is testing the sandwich at 126 restaurants around Columbus, Ohio, and if the Buckeye State's residents don't screw it up for us, you might soon be able to order the spicy burger all across the nation, according to Metro News. Fingers crossed.
If you live near Columbus, you can score one of these burgers, as well as Sriracha Mac dipping sauce for your French fries or chicken nuggets, during the trial stages.
We hear that the newly vamped-up burger is pretty much just a regular Big Mac with Sriracha infused into their special "Big Mac sauce," but we sure can't complain about their latest ploy to attract millennials.
"Offering the addition of Sriracha to our Big Mac Special Sauce was a fun way for our culinary innovations team to think outside the box and continue to answer the call of our customers who are always looking for the next great innovation in food experience and taste," Scott Nickell, Central Ohio Co-op president, said in a statement, according to Nation's Restaurant News.
McDonald's has added, subtracted and modified lots of other offerings over the years, but this is the first time ever that they have made any changes to their signature double-decker burger since they first started selling it in 1967, though they also announced that they are going to start selling a mini version and a giant version as well.
"We're always trying new creations and we wanted to innovate with an on-trend flavor like Sriracha to give our customers in Columbus a new and exciting taste," McDonald's chef Mike Haracz said in a statement.
If you're able to get your hands on one of these, give it a try and let us know what you think!
