Peeps have been on a roll all spring! They are collapsing with big names such as Pepsi, 7-Eleven, and now the famous veggie brand, Green Giant!
The two wildly different brands have come together to create a treat that combines sweets and veggies. Thus the Green Giant Cauliflower-Flavored Peeps were born!
These very special Peeps are available beginning April 1.
Cauliflower is the latest “it” food. It has taken the form of pizza crust and even tater tots. But this new Peeps creation is definitely taking the veggie to new heights.
Though there’s no overwhelming taste of cauliflower, thank goodness, its subtle cauliflower flavor is derived from Green Giant’s Riced Veggies Cauliflower.
Each pack of the Cauliflower-Flavored Peeps comes with two marshmallow bunnies. These very special Peeps are only available for a limited time only.
Of course, social media jumped on the news immediately. Instagram accounts like @candyhunting posted a photo of the packaging and announced this odd collab. Green Giant even commented on some posts further amplifying the hype.
Commenters immediately pointed out the significance of the release date being April Fool’s Day. One user commented, “This is pretty calculated for April Fools. PR package and everything.” Another commenter wrote, “Early April Fool’s joke????” You can breathe a sigh of relief. I am happy to announce that this whole ordeal is one big prank. The dedication to PR and packaging is superb. Because the announcement threw me for a loop upon first glance. Though there’s room at the Easter table for both sweets and veggies.
