Pringles and Wendy’s Join Forces to Launch New Baconator Chips

Ingredients

A burger in a chip? Who says dreams don’t come true? You can now get one of Wendy’s most popular burgers in delicious snack form. Pringles and Wendy’s have partnered together to release new limited-edition Baconator chips! Instagram user @ryanblashka first spotted these babies in Festival Foods, a local Minneapolis, Minn. grocery chain. The two food brands have not commented on this game-changing collab at the time of writing this story. However, those on the East Coast and Midwest have spotted Baconator chips! They've been seen in ShopRite, and on shelves in Price Choppers. We are thinking this will be a slow roll-out, but we can’t contain our excitement.

This news comes as Wendy’s continues to recover from a beef shortage. Last month, Wendy’s beef suppliers shut down plants due to workers falling ill with COVID-19. As a result, roughly one in every Wendy’s restaurant was out of beef, according to CNN. And if you’re a Baconator aficionado, you know that a regular Baconator burger has two beef patties, six pieces of crispy Applewood smoked bacon, ketchup, and mayo. Customers will soon be able to enjoy the Pringles version and the real burger version at the same time! If you’re feeling up for a frosty, you can also double your indulging with this recipe. We still have yet to taste these Pringles ourselves (we haven’t been able to find them in our local stores). But we do ponder questions like: How strong will the bacon flavor be? Also, would we get the taste of cheese and perhaps ketchup? Regardless, we’re looking forward to adding them to our snack stash. If you’re lucky and come across Baconator chips, please tag us on Instagram at @cookingpandaofficial and let us know how they taste!
