A woman said her family was torn apart hours after she gave birth to a baby boy.
Shortly after Kristina and her boyfriend Jayson gave birth to their son, the couple was visited by Child Protective Services at the hospital.
CPS told Kristina upon their visit that Jayson needed to leave the hospital immediately and cut off all contact with her.
“CPS said Jayson has been accused of sexually molesting his daughter and his son,” Kristina said. “Some of the things that I was told were some of the most heinous things that you could ever possibly think of an adult doing with a child. It made me physically sick to my stomach.”
“The day that we had our child was one of the best days of our lives and also the worst day of our lives,” she told Dr. Phil. “That was the last day we were able to be a family.”
Kristina said she was aware that Jayson lost parental rights to his other children, but he never mentioned any claims of abuse.
“Jayson told me that he had lost the rights to his four children because of his ex-wife being neglectful,” she said. Jayson said he claims to have told Kristina about the allegations against him.
“I don’t know if she’s lying or doesn’t remember, but I did show her the paperwork from CPS,” he said. “I did not know that CPS was going to remove the child if I had another child with another woman.”
Jayson reportedly knew he would not be allowed to have anymore children, but Kristina learned of this while in labor at the hospital.
“The CPS worker told me that Jayson was aware that if he had any other children after his four previous children, that they automatically would be taken away from him," she said. He never mentioned that to me. I was devastated.”
CPS gave the mother the choice between relinquishing Jayson’s parental rights and having her children taken away.
“CPS gave me a choice," she recalled to Dr. Phil. "They said if I don’t sign the piece of paper that would keep Jayson out of my son’s life, they would have to take custody of all three of my childrenJayson hasn’t seen his son now for two-and-a-half months.”
Despite the allegations against him, Kristina said she believes the claims were untrue.
“I believe that CPS made up these allegations to take his children away from him,” she said. “I’m still in love with him even today.”
The couple’s story went viral, with Daily Mail readers showing mixed reactions:
Suspected? Allegations were made? No. In this country if CPS has the right to take his children and a court ordered him not to have more children, he is a CONVICTED pedophile. A judge cannot order you to not have children without a conviction as that would be unconstitutional.
He has had his day in court and he has lost his case. Keep those kids away from him, they come first. It's better to break it off sooner than later with someone like that. Personally, I think he should have been snipped (entirely).
