Just weeks after the Starbucks Pink Drink took over Instagram, a new secret menu item is making the rounds on our favorite social media site.
Fittingly named, the new "Purple Drink" is just as beautiful as its rose-hued cousin. According to Thrillist, the drink consists of iced Passion Tango tea, soy or coconut milk, vanilla syrup, and fresh blackberries.
While the Purple Drink isn’t technically on the official Starbucks menu, that hasn’t stopped it from taking over Instagram. Luckily, however, the coffee chain doesn’t seem too concerned about the enormous popularity of its off-menu items.
"Our customers are always trying out new ways to customize their favorite drinks—Purple Drink is a perfect example of that!" Starbucks said in a statement. "We’re blown away with the reaction on social media—while this isn’t an official Starbucks drink, it’s created a lot of fandom online. If customers would like to order a beverage that is not listed on our menu, we recommend they know the recipe so that their barista can handcraft the beverage perfectly for them."
