We know, we know: we were just talking about how a Starbucks employee peeked and spilled the beans about the new Starbucks red holiday cup.
But did you know that the coffee chain has actually gone and unveiled its seasonal green one, too?
Starbucks has issued a press release revealing this year's seasonal cup in a deep but bright green color, which features some serious artistry. Starbucks commissioned Shogo Ota to draw a mosaic of more than one hundred people, only Ota actually executed the pattern in one continuous stroke.
"The green cup and the design represent the connections Starbucks has as a community with its partners (employees) and customers. During a divisive time in our country, Starbucks wanted to create a symbol of unity as a reminder of our shared values, and the need to be good to each other," said Howard Schultz, chairman and CEO, in the chain's press release.
The cups are available exclusively in United States Starbucks stores as of Nov. 1, and will continue to be sold for a limited time while supplies lasts.
What do you think of the new Starbucks Green Cup? Do you agree with the sentiment behind the artistry, or are you just looking forward to the release of the red cup, slated to appear later in November? Let us know!
