We admit we're into this promotion!
It's the holiday season, which means corporations all over are currently launching promotions of their products to inspire customers to buy, and also to celebrate the winter vibes.
Of course, there are some traditions that are more ridiculous than others: for instance, that of the ugly holiday sweater. But Starbucks seems to think that it can take the heinous-looking bundles of warmth and rebrand them into something fun!
From Dec. 15 to Dec. 18, Starbucks reports that it is launching a Fruitcake Frappuccino flavor. What's more, if you are a Starbucks Rewards member and decide to order this mind-boggling beverage, you will even get your very own ugly sweater cozy for your drink, for as long as supplies last!
Apparently, National Ugly Sweater Day lands on Dec. 16, which explains that entire ordeal.
For the curious, the Fruitcake Frappuccino begins by using a Hazelnut Creme Frappuccino as its base, which already sounds way more promising than what we were imagining (a dense block of unidentifiable dried fruits). Next, that delicious base is blended up with some dried fruit (to be expected, folks) and cinnamon, and then topped with a generous dollop of the coffee chain's luxurious whipped cream.
Don't forget the caramel dots and sprinkle of matcha powder to top it off!
Just in case you don't want to try out the Fruitcake Frappuccino, but do want to get into the holiday spirit, Starbucks is also launching its packages of six Ugly Sweater Cookies. The cookies are gingerbread flavor, and they are all dolled up in "not-so-ugly frosted sweaters featuring a snowman, snowflake and Christmas tree."
Luckily, those cookies are available through the holidays to enjoy.
