One of the best parts about summer is all the extra sunlight; the evenings are brighter, the days are longer, and as of June 14, Starbucks is offering new treats designed specifically to be savored as the sun goes down.
On the Sunset Menu — Starbucks' limited-time summer promotion which offers certain seasonal concoctions every day after 3 p.m. — are three new seasonally-appropriate Starbucks Granitas in Caramel Espresso, Teavana Youthberry White Tea, and Strawberry Lemon Limeade flavors.
For those unaware, Granitas are Italian frosty desserts, and are traditionally made with sweetened ice shavings. Starbucks is putting a light and refreshing twist on the dessert, making its Granitas “with a scoop of finely shaved ice that is lightly sweetened and topped with bold espresso, white tea or limeade,” according to its press release.
“We wanted something that was cool, but light,” said Michelle Sundquist from the Starbucks beverage development team. “Our Sunset Menu is a refreshing way to jump-start your evening and take you into a long summer night.”
But that’s not all; in addition to the three Granitas, Starbucks’ new Sunset Menu is also featuring two new sweets to complement the beverages: the Chocolate Brownie and Strawberry Shortcake Trifles.
Take a closer look at all the new Sunset offerings below from the Starbucks press release:
