Taco Bell is testing a Jalapeno Popper Quesarito, a fusion between the classic Quesarito and cheesy Jalapeno Poppers.
Now with two servings of jalapenos, the Jalapeno Popper Quesarito should appeal to lovers of spicy food everywhere.
According to Brand Eating, the new Quesarito consists of a grilled cheese quesadilla stuffed with sliced jalapenos wrapped around Latin rice, nacho cheese, reduced fat sour cream, and your choice of shredded chicken, seasoned ground beef, or steak.
The regular Quesarito also has reduced fat sour cream, in case you were wondering if Taco Bell thought this could possibly pass as diet food of some sort.
This dish will debut in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will extend nationally depending on feedback and customer response. Prices start at $2.49 for the beef version and top out at $3.29 for steak.
For those who need a bit more oomph with your meal, the $5.99 Box combo includes a Beef Jalapeno Popper Quesarito, Doritos Locos Taco, Crunchy Taco, and Medium Drink.
In case you don’t want to wait for the Jalapeno Popper Quesarito to come to a Taco Bell near you, I imagine adding your own jalapeno peppers to the regular Quesarito would taste just as satisfying.
