Ingredients

When you're craving food in the late night hours, do you ever think, "I wish I could have fried chicken and nacho cheese..."? Well, in case you do, Taco Bell is reaching into the chicken market and providing just that. Instead of ordering a side of nachos and cheese with your next crunch wrap, try a side of chicken tortilla chips and nacho cheese. It's probably better for quenching your craving, anyway.

Business Insider reports that offering this chicken side is Taco Bell's way of reaching into Chick-fil-A's chicken market. Along with offering the "Naked Chicken Chalupa," Taco Bell is making a move into interesting new chicken items. Would you try them?

Taco Bell has mastered the late night food scene for when you're craving something cheesy and crispy, but Chick-fil-A's scene is different. I'm sure these new chicken dishes will be great additions to the audience Taco Bell has already acquired, but when you're craving Chick-fil-A, you're craving Chick-fil-A. My guess is that Taco Bell's chicken sales will mostly increase on Sundays (when Chick-fil-A is closed).

According to Uproxx, these new chicken "chips" are pretty much chicken tenders that have been cut into triangle-shaped pieces. The taco shell made of fried chicken has been doing exceptionally well, so these chips will probably be received well too.

It seems that Taco Bell isn't the only fast food chain working on new out-of-the-box items. Business Insider reports that Burger King has taken on a new burrito, and McDonald's is testing a new kale salad. I don't see how any of this can be bad, especially since I'm eager to be a new food taste-testing guinea pig.
