Donald Trump is no stranger to controversy, but his latest tweet might take the cake -- or, taco bowl?
On May 5, the presidential hopeful posted an image of himself eating a taco bowl on Twitter in honor of Cinco de Mayo. While the picture is ridiculous in and of itself, displaying the Republican candidate grinning and giving a thumbs up with his signature orange glow and luxurious coif, it was the caption that elicited heated and widespread criticism. The tweet's text reads, "Happy #CincoDeMayo! The best taco bowls are made in Trump Tower Grill. I love Hispanics!"
Unsurprisingly, this comment generated disbelief, disgust, and anger from all sides of the political spectrum. Below, we have rounded up ten of the best responses to Trump’s Cinco de Mayo tweet. Check them out, and don’t be afraid to celebrate their hilarity with some real Mexican food.
