There’s something about bake sales that really bring out our competitive side. Your desserts are on display right next to ones made by other parents, and the last thing you want is for your kid to be known as the one whose parent made a wimpy treat. But some of us don’t have infinite amounts of time or money to spend making the most beautiful and delicious dessert for the bake sale.
That’s where the magic of no-bake recipes come in. No-bake desserts are a phenomenon that save parents tons of time and effort in the kitchen. So if you’ve never tried these magical treats before, here are some quick, easy AND cheap “no-bake” bake sale items that are promised to sell out quickly and impress the other parents simultaneously.
1. Nutella No Bake Cookies
Prep Time: 15 minutes Yield: 24 Large Cookies
- 8 Tablespoons butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla
- 1 cup Nutella spread
- 2 cups quick oats
- 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place the butter, sugar, cocoa, milk, salt, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat and stir until melted and smooth.
- Bring the mixture to a boil. Boil 1 minute, while stirring constantly.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in Nutella until smooth and creamy.
- Add the oats and coconut and stir until combined and coated.
- Drop by large spoonfuls onto parchment or waxed paper. Flatten and shape, if desired.
- Let set until completely cooled. Store in a sealed container. Makes 24 large cookies.
2. No Bake Cookies & Cream Bars
Prep Time: 15 minutes Yield: 24 Large Cookies

For the Crust
- 24 Oreos
- 4 Tbsp butter

For the Filling
- 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
- 6 oz Cream cheese, at room temperature 12 Oreos, roughly chopped

For the Topping
- 6 Oreos, roughly chopped
- 3/4 cups dark chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS

For the Crust
- Place 24 oreos in a plastic baggy and smash them into crumbs with a rolling pin. Melt butter in the microwave and combine oreo crumbs with the butter and press into a 9 inch square pan that has been lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Set aside.

For the Filling
- Melt the white chocolate in the microwave for 15 second increments, stirring in between until smooth.
- Stir the softened cream cheese with the melted white chocolate until it forms a smooth mixture.
- Next, fold in the 12 chopped up Oreos.
- Spread the mixture over the oreo crust in the pan as evenly as possible. Set Aside.
- For the Topping

- Sprinkle 6 chopped oreos evenly over the top of the white chocolate mixture.
- Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave in 15 second increments, stirring in between until smooth.
- Drizzle over the top and then chill in the fridge for a couple of hours before cutting.
3. No-Bake Sugar Cookie Truffles
Prep Time: 1 hr 30 mins Yield: 20 Truffles
- 2 cups sugar-cookie crumbs (from about 15 medium cookies)
- 6 tablespoons cream cheese, at room temperature
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- Sprinkles, for finishing
INSTRUCTIONS
- In the bowl of a food processor, pulse the cookies until they are fine crumbs. Add the cream cheese and mix well to combine. The mixture should hold together when pressed.
- Scoop the mixture into heaping tablespoon-size portions and roll into balls. Transfer the balls to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Add the white chocolate chips to a medium-size microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 15 second increments, stirring in between, until chocolate is smooth and melted.
- Dip the cookie truffles into the melted white chocolate to coat fully, returning to the baking sheet as you go. Before the chocolate sets, decorate with sprinkles.
- Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator until the chocolate is set. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
