Get ready, folks, because this brand new product from J&J Snack Foods Corp. is about to blow your dang mind.
If you're anything like me, anytime the little Pillsbury Doughboy shows up, your mouth begins watering automatically. Something is just ingrained in me to associate that laughing, silly character with delicious treats headed my way.
On April 11, General Mills and J&J announced that they have teamed up and are finally ready to launch Pillsbury Churro Bites, which is just like the addicting Oreo Churros that are out but possibly even more tantalizing.
I knew the Pillsbury Doughboy wouldn't let me down!
Traditionally Spanish, churros are often referred to as Spanish donuts. In the case of the Pillsbury Churro Bites, the treats are bite-sized and served up with a cinnamon sugar topping to make them extra sweet, gooey and delicious.
I'm not drooling, you're drooling!
The Churro Bites will retail in 8-ounce packages, and each package contains a pretty generous 20 bites; all you have to do is heat them up and they're ready to be devoured.
"Pillsbury Churro Bites are a fun, innovative and exciting snack to add to the J&J Snack Foods portfolio. The product is convenient, shareable and enjoyable for all," Alissa Davis, the vice president of marketing, said in the press release. "They are ready in minutes, giving a warm and delicious flavor to every bite."
What's more, for Cinco de Mayo celebrations, J&J Snack Foods is gearing up to release a special 1 pound 4.25-ounce club pack nationally.
The snacks can be found at retailers nationwide at the moment in frozen dessert sections, so when Cinco de Mayo starts to get nearer, I'm sure that's where you'll be able to snag yourself an extra large celebratory pack of the bites as well.
