A Mississippi woman was fired from her job at a Subway restaurant after she reportedly tweeted messages lauding the deaths of two police officers from the city who were killed on Saturday. Ex-Subway employee Sierra 'C-Babi' McCurdy posted anti-cop messages after police officers Benjamin Deen, 34, and Liquori Tate, 25, were killed in Hattiesburg, the Daily Mail reports. Deen and Tate were allegedly shot dead after a routine traffic stop. The suspects have been identified as Joanie Calloway, 22, and Marvin Banks, 29, both of whom were charged with two counts of capital murder, and, in Banks' case, grand theft auto and possession of a firearm, CNN reports. Police also charged Banks' brother, Curtis Banks, with two counts of accessory after the fact of capital murder, and Cornelius Clark with obstruction of justice. While most of the small community mourned the loss of these officers, McCurdy took to social media to make her feelings on the incident known: McCurdy's follow-up tweet suggested residents turn Hattiesburg into the next Baltimore and show "no mercy" where the lives of police officers are concerned: The backlash against McCurdy was swift and furious. Thousands of people reportedly tweeted Subway and left messages on its Facebook page, demanding the company take action against McCurdy and fire her for her inflammatory statements. Many threatened to boycott Subway if they did not respond to the incident. The chain restaurant terminated McCurdy's employment on Sunday night. "This kind of behavior is unacceptable and does not represent the values and ethics of our brand," said a spokesperson from Subway.
