Everything's coming up vegan, ya'll.

It's a known fact that when the weather turns warm, everybody starts craving ice cream. If you live in New York, like me, you know summer is coming because the ice cream truck bells start ringing, the sounds of children playing outside become louder and louder, and you get your very first sunburn of the year.

Ah, warm weather.

Of course, while frozen treats are welcome indulgences for many people, for people who are lactose-intolerant (or who choose to be vegan), sometimes that means missing out on all the sweet, chilled fun.

But that no longer has to be the case!

Loads of companies are catching on that veganism is the future, and are beginning to pump out delicious products to prove it. For instance, the London-based start-up company MiiRo just launched a totally vegan (dairy-free) and gluten-free line of Magnum-shaped ice cream bars, and they look so, so good.

To achieve a creamy consistency, MiiRo made its ice cream center out of coconut milk, and sweetened it with Italian grapes and coconut sugar, which sounds sort of avant garde for ice cream, but epic.

Next, the ice cream is slathered in raw cocoa to give it that sweet, chocolatey and crunchy outer shell.

The ice creams, according to the MiiRo website, are sugar-free, packed with fiber, contain no preservatives or artificial flavoring, and are only 166 calories each.

You can buy three different flavors of the bar at Whole Foods: the chocolate hazelnut (which will probably be reminiscent of Nutella), the salted caramel and the peanut butter flavor.

They retail at $3.21 for one ice cream bar, or $8.37 for three.

What do you think? Are you excited to taste these new vegan treats on the market, or do you have a tried-and-true dairy pop that you always enjoy during the summer?
