Look: we get it. Pumpkin-spice lattes are a thing, and they're a thing for a reason. They're seasonal, festive, sweet and delicious, and by this point they basically have a cult following (as well as some very vocal haters).
But hear us out: there's a new kind of specialty coffee out there, and we dare say it has the potential to blow those PSLs out of the water. This thing is seriously lush.
Take-Out Drawing, a cafe in Seoul, South Korea, has invented the miraculous meringue coffee. If you're wondering what, exactly, is so impressive about that, rest assured: we're not talking about coffee flavored with meringue-syrup, or anything like that. Oh, no. We're talking about a plain old cup of joe topped with a gravity-defying and super-deluxe-looking mound of decadent meringue.
The best part is that the meringue doesn't actually melt, which means it will maintain its massive shape and crunchy, sugary profile. You can dunk it, bite it, or just admire it from afar for as long as you'd like.
Good news for all of you lactose-intolerant coffee drinkers out there who are looking for a treat: these meringues, according to Independent, are also dairy-free, and Take-Out Drawing additionally offers a variety of dairy alternatives to cut the bold flavor of coffee.
