Want free ice cream? You can get some courtesy of Uber and McDonald's, but you need to jump on it quickly.
Here's the scoop: UberEATS, which this summer joined with McDonald's to bring you McDelivery, delivered free ice cream on August 11, and they might even still be doing it if they haven't run out of supplies in your city, although it doesn't look like there's still an option on the Uber app to match with an ice cream truck.
But if you were able to capitalize on that deal, it will have gotten you free ice cream for you and four friends, plus they'll have given you a limited edition, collectible silicone cone embossed with the Uber logo, according to Cosmopolitan. Pretty sweet.
Thanks, Uber ice cream truck!
Sadly, it's only happening in a handful of cities -- Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, New York, Miami, Dallas, San Francisco, Toronto, Boston and Seattle -- but hey, that's still pretty cool!
Should you be lucky enough to get your hands on one of those special Uber cones -- and a punch card, according to Uber -- make sure to hang onto it and bring it with you to a McDonald's for a free soft serve scoop every Friday until September 22.
If you missed this deal, don't fret! You can still get ice cream delivered to you, although you'll have to shell out a few bucks for it. UberEATS does work with some ice cream and frozen yogurt shops, so all you need to do is find a spot near you on the Uber app and wait for them to shuttle it over to you. According to Reddit, ice cream delivery drivers have all kinds of systems -- like using coolers and/or cold packs to keep your dessert as cold as possible, so even skeptics can order away!
