Watermelon may be the ultimate summer fruit. It’s sweet, refreshing and vibrantly colored, just the way you want your perfect summer to be.
You can eat it plain, drink it or even serve it with ice cream (if you’re adventurous).
Now, Starbucks Japan has created a perfect, simple, refreshing (and still totally Instagram-worthy) drink for customers to grab on the way to the beach or on a hot summer day in the city.
It's called the Shaken Watermelon and Passion Tea, because it joins watermelon juice with Starbucks' Teavana Passion Tea, according to Foodbeast.
The simply delicious drink combines watermelon juice with the papaya, lemongrass, mango and hibiscus flower flavors of Teavana Passion Tea into one icy, fruity, watermelon-colored beverage.
To top it all off, the Shaken Watermelon and Passion Tea is served with a freeze-dried lime, just to add that extra citrusy, tropical touch.

According to RocketNews24, the drink is said to make you feel as if you’re biting into a slice of fresh, juicy watermelon. Yum!
Sadly, this perfectly refreshing summer drink is only available at Starbucks Japan, and even there it’s only available through the end of August. So if you’re in Japan, hurry up and try it before summer ends!
If you’re not planning a trip to Tokyo any time soon, you can also try to recreate a similar drink at home.
All it takes is some fresh watermelon mixed with the iced juices of your favorite fruits, and you’ll have the perfect beverage to refresh you through the summer months.
