Yoga amateurs will find something bittersweet about Wine Yoga. The bitter: It involves knee-to-ear poses, and something called Kala Bhairavasana (also billed as "The Exorcist" pose). Next comes the sweet: Six glasses of wine, by the gulp-ful, to greet you to the very sweaty end. Who's in?

Corporate event planners and maids of honor are celebrating special events in an outside-the-box kind of way. Yoga Wine Party, a New York-based event planning company, comes to you, in the comfort of your home or office, for a little vino with a side of vinyasa.

Company founders Dina Ivas and Liz Howng split their time into one-hour sessions. Certified expert yoga instructor Ivas leads the first half, a 60-minute yoga session open to all levels and experiences, including those who have never stepped on a yoga mat. The yoga session is a fun way to begin and is peppered with wine puns to break the ice, according to Delish.

After guests have worked up a sweat, faces lost in furrowed brows and strained poses best left to rubber bands and dolls, wine expert Howng swoops in with a much-needed array of wine.

Howng prepares the tasting at one end of the room -- a setup that includes six bottles of premium wine selected by the expert herself. Additional wine can be purchased for an added fee, but the company's site mentions there is enough wine "for generous pours for up to 15 people," and can be selected based on personal preference.

Think of this as an icebreaker into the health and wellness space of yoga, and the nose-wafting snootiness that occasionally comes with wine tasting -- without all the hubbub from either. Delish said the two-hour expert-led event left pretentiousness at the door and encouraged guests to experience both yoga and wine in a fun, stress-free way.

If wine, yoga, or both strike a chord, consider Yoga Wine Party's second annual retreat held this year in The Catskills. It's a three-day getaway filled with yoga sessions, guided wine tasting overlooking rolling mountain hills, and healthy, locally sourced gourmet food. At the end of each day, there's a bonfire with s'mores, a hot tub, and, of course, plenty of wine.
