Fireball bagels are here, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it -- except maybe grab yourself one if you're feeling spicy.
There are tons of people who have that one memory that made them swear off the sweet cinnamon whiskey forever. But if you're a fan of spicy-sweet boozy foods, some of us haters might just need to make an exception.
Head over to The Bagel Nook in Freehold, New Jersey, and, if you have an ID showing that you are 21 or over, you can snag one such bagel, which has Fireball mixed right into the dough, according to Elite Daily.
Here's how they make it: After whipping up the dough and boiling each dough ring as usual, the bagels get tossed in cinnamon sugar and baked in a 500 degree oven. Then, the beautiful abominations get plunged into a Fireball reduction glaze, sprinkled with powdered sugar, sliced open and served with apple pie cream cheese. Doesn't sound too shabby, does it?
Shop owner Alex Berkowitz -- who, by the way, is not a fan of Fireball -- said he came up with the recipe thanks to a request from local radio DJ Cubby at 103.5, who asked them "to make a special Fireball bagel for him for his birthday in exchange for passes to meet the Backstreet Boys," he told Elite Daily.
Anything for the Backstreet Boys, right?
The unique breakfast is not the first wacky venture upon which The Bagel Nook has embarked -- it also offers Oreo bagels and Flamin' Hot Cheetos ones. The shop's website describes it as "the new funky and fun bagel store that serves way more than just bagels," so it's not completely a surprise that Berkowitz would try to outdo himself.
They also make a variety of exciting breakfasts like Crazy Chocolate Chip French Toast and Inside Out Donuts, and they offer some zany small-batch cream cheese flavors that include Maple Bacon, Birthday Cake and Jalapeno Cheddar. So if you hate the idea of a cinnamon whiskey bagel, you'll more than likely find something else that appeals to you.
The novelty bagels will cost you around $5 a piece, and I have to admit that they sound pretty good even for Fireball haters.
