Are you the kind of person who eats a jar of pickles then drinks the juice? If I didn't know that Pickle Juice Soda was a thing, I'd think that no one does that … but I'd be wrong. Clearly some people enjoy drinking pickle juice, or this just simply wouldn't sell.

Popsugar reports that the new Pickle Juice Soda comes from Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop, which has locations in Pennsylvania and Ohio. It's made with pure cane sugar, but if I were to guess, I'd say it's probably more sour than sweet. The new drink was announced via Grandpa Joe's Facebook in a message that reads, "If you're the kind of pickle lover who relishes all things pickled, this is gonna be a really big dill. Pickle Juice Soda Pop is here!"

Social media is buzzing with mixed emotions over this weird new hybrid, and I can't honestly disagree with the good or bad opinions, mostly because I can't make up my own mind whether this is, in fact, an atrocity or whether it's brilliant. Are there health-boosting qualities? Is there a reason we'd want to drink Pickle Juice Soda? These are things I'd need to know to make an educated decision as to whether or not this is an "OK" thing.

Here's what some of the people on social media had to say …

The soda sells in the shop for $2.50, but you can also get it online for a whopping $10. If you're going to take it that far, you might as well get a three-pack, and make your friends try it too. The three-pack is $20, and the six-pack is $30. I guess that's when you really start seeing some savings. Nothing wrong with forcing your whole family to try it with you, right?

What are your thoughts? Would you try this soda, or do you also feel that it's an atrocity?
