Check it out! On August 23 IHOPs all over the country will be selling their short stack for $1! It's for a great cause too. Each dollar goes to the No Kid Hungry campaign, to deliver food to hungry kids.
A short stack is three buttermilk pancakes, and usually costs $4-$5, depending on your IHOP location. According to FoodBeast, you can get your $1 short stack at any location in the country from 7am to 7pm. More importantly, that means you have a 7am to 7pm time span on August 23 to help make sure no kids go hungry! I can't imagine a sweeter reason to eat pancakes.
No Kids Hungry is a program that works during the summertime to feed kids who may rely on school for daily meals. The organization hosts culinary events and even has a chef bike ride to raise funds for their cause.
Text FOOD to 877-877 to find a community center serving free summer meals in your neighborhood.
And go have yourself some pancakes on August 23 to help spread the word in your community!
