Cinnamon Sugar Saucy Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 7-8 peaches, diced into wedges
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the sauce:
  • 1 ½ cup of water
  • ½ cup demerara sugar
  • ½ cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger

  1. Firstly, In a large mixing bowl add the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Mix until all the dry ingredients are combined.
  3. Stir in the peaches and make sure they are all coated well in the mixture.
  4. Stir in the whole milk and vanilla extract.
  5. Transfer the whole peach batter into the casserole pan that is well greased with butter.
  6. To make the sauce for this cobbler, in a saucepan add the water, demerara sugar, white sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground ginger.
  7. Bring the whole sauce to a boil and let it cook for 3 minutes.
  8. Pour the very hot sauce on top of the peach cobbler and place it immediately in the oven that is preheated at 350 F or 180 C degrees. Bake for about 40-45 minutes.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy.
