With minimal effort and strength, tuna egg salad is one of the best salads you can prepare within a short period. It is perfect for your sandwich filling, protein-packed topping for your crackers. You can also pile it on your lettuce leaves or mixed greens if you want a lighter lunch. So delicious, you can quickly pack it for lunches on the go, parties, even when you are going for picnics. Very high in protein and keto-friendly, your body would be kept nourished throughout the day. It’s a dish you will fall in love with and want to make it all the time. A perfect recipe for your money. It will make you wonder why you haven’t been eating it all this while, it is irresistible. In 20 minutes, it is ready.

Very easy and quick to make! Before you know it, your salad will be ready in a jiffy. The first and most essential step is to gather all your necessary ingredients in one place. Place your eggs in a small pot containing cold water. Then set your timer for some minutes, the aim here is to ensure the water boils. The next thing to do is to turn down to simmer and cook your eggs until the timer goes. Drain off the hot water in a sink. For quick cooling down of your eggs, you might need to add cold water and ice cubes to the pot. Once your eggs cool down, peel and grate with a food grater or chop them into small pieces.

Once this is done, the next thing is to combine your tuna fish, chopped eggs, tablespoons of mayonnaise, red Dijon mustard, dill pickle that has been finely chopped and avocado cube. You might need to add more mayonnaise depending on how much you want it. Season it with salt and pepper to taste.

I’m glad to tell you your tuna egg salad is ready once this second step has been completed. Serve this delicious salad on your sandwiches, or on lettuce leaves and enjoy it for lunch. That’s it, it is as simple as that.

You can add some finely diced celery and green onion for crunch if you want; they are optional, though. If you want an extra creamy and rich tuna salad, you can swap the mayonnaise for homemade aioli.

Additional tips you need to know is that the better the quality of your tuna, the better the tuna salad. Albacore chunk tuna salad will have a milder flavor and meatier texture. In contrast, flaked tuna tends to be moister with fishier taste. Better still, you can mix the two together. You can make use of aluminum foil to keep your food moist, to cook it evenly, and to make clean up an easy task.

  1. Once all of your ingredients are prepped, add them to a large bowl and mix.
  2. If serving all at once, add the arugula to a serving bowl and top with the finished tuna egg salad. Add the chopped tomatoes, bell peppers, and Everything But The Bagel seasoning.
  3. Add a lemon wedge and squeeze overtop right before serving.
