Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • FOR THE BANANA BREAD
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 very ripe medium bananas, sliced, plus more for garnish
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a bread pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mash bananas. Add sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  4. Add dry ingredients to wet, folding gently until fully combined.
  5. In another large bowl, beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla, continue beating. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Spread half of the banana bread batter in the bottom of the bread pan. Top with cream cheese mixture, then the remainder of the bread batter. If desired, line with sliced bananas and top with more chocolate chips.
  7. Bake for 1 hour. After 40 minutes, cover with tin foil so it doesn't burn.
