DIY Mason Jar Butter

Serves: 4 servings

  • 1 mason jar (16 ounces is perfect, bigger or smaller is fine, too)
  • Heavy cream

Have you ever thought about making your own butter? Because you can and you should! Follow this recipe, and enjoy, fresh creamy butter. Mmm.
  1. Pour heavy cream into a mason jar, no more than half way.
  2. Shake cream in mason jar. Shake for at least 20 minutes, checking your progress at the 10 minute mark.
  3. When there is butter in the jar, drain the buttermilk into a bowl (and save for a recipe!). Serve butter with warm better, serve and enjoy!
