Ingredients
- 1lb lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1β2 medium onion, chopped
- 1β2 red bell pepper, chopped
- 2β3 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp ground mustard
- 1β2 tsp garlic powder
- 1β8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 8 slices of bread
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 tbsp butter, softened
Instructions
Two of your favorite childhood sandwiches combined into one supremely gooey, crispy sandwich!
- Saute onions and pepper in olive oil over medium heat for 3 minutes, then add ground beef, salt, and pepper.
- When beef is browned and no longer pink, drain grease if needed, then add mustard, garlic powder, cayenne, Worcestershire, and ketchup. Stir and remove from heat.
- Build sandwiches: on one slice of bread, sprinkle on cheese, then add a layer of meat and top with more cheese and a second. slice of bread. Cook in butter over medium heat until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown. Enjoy!
