Spicy Pork Burgers With Chipotle Peach Mayo

Ingredients

  • FOR THE PORK BURGERS:
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground pork
  • 1 LA MORENA Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce, diced
  • 2 tablespoons LA MORENA Chipotle Sauce
  • 1 small yellow onion, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon each kosher salt and black pepper
  • FOR THE CHIPOTLE PEACH MAYO:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 5 tablespoons peach jam or marmalade
  • 2 LA MORENA Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce, diced
  • 2 tablespoons LA MORENA Chipotle Sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon each kosher salt and black pepper
  • FOR SERVING:
  • Hamburger buns, toasted if desired
  • Red onion, sliced
  • Lettuce or arugula
  • Cheddar cheese (optional)

  1. In a large bowl combine the ground pork, chopped LA MORENA Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce, LA MORENA Chipotle Sauce, grated onion, and minced garlic.
  2. Using your hands, gently mix the burger mixture until combined. Divide the burger mixture into 4 equal portions. Being careful not to overwork the meat, shape pork into 3/4-inch-thick patties. Using your thumb, press a small dimple into the center of the formed burger. Season prepared burger patties with kosher salt and black pepper.
  3. To make the chipotle peach mayo: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, peach jam, chopped LA MORENA Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce, LA MORENA Chipotle Sauce, kosher salt, and black pepper. Serve at once or store covered in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  4. Preheat an indoor or outdoor grill to high heat. Place the burgers on the preheated grill. Cook burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  5. Serve on hamburger buns with red onion, arugula, and chipotle peach mayo.
