Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 3 strips bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 4 jalapeños, sliced lengthwise and deseeded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line baking sheet and set aside.
  2. Slightly roll out puff pastry and cut 8, 3 inches by 3-inch squares.
  3. In a large bowl, add cream cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper and chopped bacon. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  4. Spoon mixture into sliced jalapeños.
  5. Roll jalapeños in square puff pastry and place them on a baking sheet. Continue until all jalapeños are filled.
  6. Brush all sides of the rolled jalapeños with egg wash and cover with grated parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool for at least 5 minutes.
