Loaded Chili Cheeseburger

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger 
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha 
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup panko
  • ¼ cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet Marukome Miso Chili 
  • 3 hamburger buns
  • 9 slices american cheese
  • 6 slices, cooked bacon 
  • 6 butter lettuce leaves

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, hoisin sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, sesame oil, salt sriracha, panko, chopped green onions, and egg. Mix until just combined, then shape into 9 equal-sized patties. Make a thumb indent in the center of each patty - this will help the patties cook evenly. 
  2. Heat oil in a cast-iron grill pan over medium-high heat. Add patties and sear for 6 minutes on each side. Turn heat down, top each patty with a slice of American cheese, and cover until the cheese melts. 
  3. Remove burgers from the grill pan and set them aside. Place buns, cut side down and toast until golden. 
  4. Heat Marukome Miso Chili in a small saucepan for five minutes, until heated through. 
  5. To assemble, layer the bottom of each bun with lettuce. Top with three burger patties, two slices of bacon, ¼ cup of Marukome Miso Chili, and the remaining half of the bun. Enjoy!
