Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium head of red onion, finely diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pound ground beef loin
- ½ pound pork sausages
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 medium tomatoes, peeled and diced finely
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 2-3 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
- In a nonstick frying pan warm the butter and olive oil and start cooking the finely diced onion and minced garlic.
- Add in the chopped pork sausage and stir well.
- Stir in the ground beef and break it down with the help of a wooden spoon.
- Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste, dijon mustard, dried oregano, and paprika.
- Stir in the chopped tomatoes and tomato sauce.
- Let the whole mixture simmer for about 1 hour, stirring every 10 minutes to make sure that all the sauce will be perfectly cooked.
- Serve and enjoy with pasta or lasagna.
