- 16 ounces dried green split peas, rinsed and drained
- 2 cups diced ham
- 2 cups diced potatoes
- 2 cups shredded carrots
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 8 cups chicken (or vegetable) broth
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, minced, plus more for garnish
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
Mmm, we wanna eat this entire pot of Slow Cooker Split Pea Soup.
- Place all ingredients in a slow cooker. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on high of 4 to 5 hours, or on low for 8 to 10 hours. Taste and if necessary, season with more salt and pepper.
- Garnish with parsley, serve and enjoy!
