Ingredients
- 1 lb. pasta ziti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 oz. pancetta
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 ½ cup tomato sauce
- 7 oz. cream cheese
- 3 oz. mozzarella cheese, diced in stripes
- 8 oz. grated cheese
- In a large pot with boiling salted water boil the pasta ziti until al dente.
- In a nonstick frying pan over medium heat warm the olive oil and cook the pancetta and diced onion. Stir in the minced garlic.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes with continuous stirring and add in chili flakes and cream cheese.
- Cook for 5 minutes and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and cooked pasta.
- Add the grated cheese and mix until combined.
- Transfer the whole pasta mixture in a casserole baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in heated oven at 350 F or 180 C degrees for about 25 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy.
