Dairy Queen is getting ready for summer with its new lemonade slush. Although, come to think of it, when is Dairy Queen not ready for summer…
… I guess I don’t mind eating ice cream in winter. But there’s something about lemonade in winter that is just not right. Lemonade is a summer only drink for me. As a kid we only got lemonade in the summer, I don’t know why, but we always ate ice cream all year round.
Dairy Queen’s new frosted lemonade is called Lemonade Twisty Misty Slush. And yes I didn’t just make up this tongue twister to mess with you. That’s the actual name.

A plus for this drink is it’s dairy free (kinda funny considering it’s from the queen of dairy), which is a good option for our lactose intolerant friends out there. I know having a friend who can’t have dairy makes it hard to go out with them. But this slush makes it possible for you and your dairy free friend to go out to Dairy Queen.
This drink is made of blue raspberry and lemonade. It's layered to give this drink a really cool look of blue fading into yellow. I’m guessing they always serve this drink in a clear cup, at least I hope so because it looks so cool. I know kids will love it as well.
This isn’t the only limited release. Dairy Queen is also releasing a timeless classic, a sprinkle sundae. It's just vanilla soft serve and rainbow sprinkles. You can’t go wrong with this one. There's something about a simple sprinkle sundae that just brings me back to my childhood. When I was a kid ice cream didn’t taste good without the sprinkles. I know that doesn’t make any sense, but hey, I was a kid.
I can’t wait to try out this new lemonade slush and sundae. I’m getting one as soon as possible, what about you?
